Nude Nails for All Skin Tones
I LOVE a nude nail. When the correct nude tone is chosen it really adds a subtle sophistication to nails, elongates fingers and makes a clean and glossy first impression, every time. It also works beautifully on toes. My team and love doing nude shiny nails for runway shows, I'm especially fond of the ones I did for Bionda Castana S/S16.

Nude nails are versatile and also work for all skin tones – there is a different nude to suit everyone; here’s a few of my favs:
Pale Skin (Pink undertones)
Choose a toffee / beige nude rather than a pinky nude, I love Butter London Tea With The Queen. Apply three coats for the perfect density.
Pale Skin (Yellow undertones)
Choose a creamy / off-white nude such as Cream Puff in either Shellac or Vinylux. It’s really flattering but you may need up to 3 coats so make sure the layers are thin.
White and Pink toned nudes look amazing on olive skin so it depends which way you want to go. Some great choices are Pink Meringue by No7 Gel-Look Shine Nail Colour or, for a pinky /white tone choice, Pink Nude by Orly. For a more white tone I love Leighton Denny’s Natural White.
Dark Skin Tones
Go for something Peachy Pink or Creamy / White, or even Taupe. Varnishes with a slight golden shimmer to them will also look BEAUTIFUL. I love Butter London Nude Stilettos and for a bit of golden glamour try China Glaze FAST Track. For something more natural try Essie in Marshmallow.
Top Tip: Don’t forget to use a top coat! My suggestion is Seche Vite, which I ALWAYS use as it’s fabulously glossy and quick drying.
